About this Offering

In this offering, I share 5 of my favorite techniques to help with overwhelm. My meditations do not bypass real-world suffering, nor do they guide you to “check out” from global injustices or your own difficult feelings. I believe healing methods that trade reality for “love and light” can be very harmful. Instead, I guide you toward acceptance and compassion for what is true, both in your inner world and the real world. I provide techniques for soothing frayed nerves, anchoring out of the mind and into the body, protecting yourself from taking on the suffering of others, replenishing drained energy, cultivating patient kindness toward ourselves and others, and channeling overwhelm into concrete change.

The Format

After purchase, you will receive a link to a simple website. On that site, each practice will be clearly labeled. The practices are audio files that you can listen to directly on the site or download. You can listen from your phone, computer, or tablet.

These practices are yours to keep and listen to whenever, forever.

The practices are between 5-10 minutes each.

Hi, I’m Quinn! I am Creator of The Retreat Space.

I created these mini practices to support and uplift you, incorporating techniques that have helped me on my own healing journey. I have always been a magpie who collects gems of wisdom and weaves them with my inner knowing to make a cozy nest. It’s my honor to share what I’ve learned.

My healing philosophies are trauma-informed and grounded in the real world. In my offerings, I integrate my own experience with my self-study of neuroscience and psychology, ancient wisdoms, earth magic, soulwork, personal development, mindfulness, somatic healing, self-empowerment, and social justice.

Please note that I am not a doctor or therapist. Always follow your own body’s wisdom and boundaries and reach out to loved ones and professionals for support.

Trying Something New

The five practices have different styles, so you may not love all of them equally. The audio files are bite-sized for your convenience, but also to encourage you to try different techniques with low commitment.

Listen to how your body reacts to each one. Techniques that resonate might feel expansive, calming, or energizing. Techniques that don’t resonate may feel contracting, tense, or just kinda “meh.” With everything I share, please take it or leave it.

If you are looking for super “traditional” meditations, this might not be for you.

Acknowledging White Supremacy

As a white woman practicing ancient meditative practices, I want to do my part to dismantle the white systems of power that have traditionally oppressed and appropriated other cultures. I open this offering with a gratitude meditation to honor my modern-day and ancestral teachers, ancient wisdom lineages, and the stolen land on which I live. All have informed and supported this work.

What are these practices like?

They are similar to guided meditations, but with a bit more variety. The practices have many textures--some are active, some are calming, some feel like pep-talks from a good friend. If you’d like to hear a sample of my style, you can listen to one of my free meditations here.


I’m busy and never meditate. Is this for me?

Absolutely. These practices are designed for real, messy, busy humans, especially ones who don't have a meditation practice and want to integrate more time for themselves. All of them point you back to your own wisdom and offer unconditional acceptance. Listen on-the-go, at your own pace, exactly as you are.
