Releasing Worry Through Yoga

This is a recording of our 75-minute live yoga gathering with Gail Picillo on April 26, 2020.

I LOVED this yoga class. Gail led us through a beautiful and fun journey to physically release excess worry. We did a lot of twists and heart-openers that left us feeling refreshed and at peace. Her unique guidance combines an athlete’s knowledge of anatomy, Mulan & Tommy Boy metaphors, dancer-like flows, a lot of laughs, and a deep spiritual experience. Gail’s calling is to share the healing power of yoga, and you can feel this devotion in her beautiful guidance.

NOTE: A gentle reminder that we are not doctors and this is not intended as a treatment or a substitute for medical advice or care. Take care as you practice, listening to your body’s responses and modifying or stopping when needed.

We acknowledge the erasure of the roots of yoga due to colonization and appropriation. We honor and respect the ancient wisdom and long teaching lineage that developed into this yoga practice, as well as the indigenous people of India—the homeland of yoga—and the ancestral land on which we all practice. We offer our gratitude for this beautiful practice, and dedicate it to the wellbeing of the earth and all beings. Future classes will acknowledge and incorporate these foundational beliefs.

YOUR GUIDES

Gail Picillo began her yoga practice about 20 years ago when she recognized her body needed love while being a rigorous athlete as a semi-pro beach volleyball player. What she discovered was that the practice of yoga not only helped heal her body, but also guided her back to a positive emotional and spiritual well- being. Gail has trained with Gopi Kinnicutt, Sondra Loring, and Raghunath as a Yoga Alliance 500 hour Bhakti Instructor. She also has studied with Edwin Bryant and Radhanath Swami. With a background in psychotherapy, Gail fuses her athletic, education and yoga experience in a light-hearted practice that will invigorate your mind, body and soul.
