Vinyasa Flow Yoga

This is a recording of our live yoga class with Elizabeth Wallace on May 4, 2020. Those of us there live were all saying, “Wow, I needed that!”

Elizabeth Wallace leads a one-hour vinyasa flow class, drawing awareness to the expansions and contractions we are all experiencing during this intense time. This class combines movement with breath in sequences that are challenging, yet include modifications to make them accessible to anyone regardless of yoga experience. Students can tune the fluctuations of their mind to the rhythm of their breath and use the physical postures to inspire self reflection and curiosity. All levels welcome.

NOTE: A gentle reminder that we are not doctors and this is not intended as a treatment or a substitute for medical advice or care. Take care as you practice, listening to your body’s responses and modifying or stopping when needed.

There is a Spotify playlist that accompanies this class. You can follow along here.

We acknowledge the erasure of the roots of yoga due to colonization and appropriation. We honor and respect the ancient wisdom and long teaching lineage that developed into this vinyasa practice, as well as the indigenous people of India—the homeland of yoga—and the ancestral land on which we all practice. We offer our gratitude for this beautiful practice, and dedicate it to the wellbeing of the earth and all beings. Future classes will acknowledge and incorporate these foundational beliefs.

YOUR GUIDES

Elizabeth Wallace has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She first fell in love with the physicality of the practice and relished the opportunity to move with intention. Over time, Elizabeth found joy in connecting deeply to her breath, cultivating steadiness in her thoughts and committing to authenticity in her actions. She completed her 200-hr training with CorePower Yoga in 2017 and has been teaching ever since. She is Reiki-II certified through the Usui tradition, and is currently in the midst of her 300-hr yoga teacher training with Down Under School of Yoga. She is also pursuing her life coach certification. Elizabeth seeks to provide a space for her students to develop a sense of true belonging through clarity of self and connection to community. Her classes interweave strength, flow, breath and mindfulness. You can connect with Elizabeth through her website.
